Around the World
Today Gilberns of all models can be found in many countries around the world, and new cars are still being
discovered (some as a direct response to this page). Although, to what extent there location is due to any
company export plan is largely uncertain as no company records now survive.
The only factory export arrangements for which there is any evidence are:

Pictured: Michel De Malsche's Mk2 IN1300 under going restoration. A private export it last carried a British registration
SV252K and was purchased in England then driven back Belgium for restoration.

The Dutch connection was the centre of Gilbern's European exports for the Mk3 Invader but other models
have also reached the low countries.

In recent years ethusiasts have exported at least two cars, one of which was bought in England and driven
back to it's new home.

Club records show no information for this chassis no. the only lhd GTs were thought to be in the USA and no Gilberns were known of in Spain |

Left is Bruno Meier's superbly restored Mk3 M30044 in Switzerland, although this a right hand drive model.
There are a number of left hand drive export model Mk3s with LH### chassis nos. a legacy of an eleventh hour deal following the 1973 Amsterdam Car Show.

This picture shows Mk3 Invader chassis no. M30048 in rather a sorry state, but is one of only two Mk3s thought to have reached Australia, the other is M30137 When photographed in autumn 1998 the car was in Melbourne at which time it had had least three owners in Australia and carried a New South Wales state-based registration number NVO128 of ten years previous. |

There are known to be two Mk2 Invaders in Canada, one in the Ontario area and one in Bowen Island BC, plus a Genie that has recently emigrated to Calgary.
